Learn Digital Photography Basics

Learning digital photography can be simple. These Digital Photography Basics can help your pictures and make them spectacular.

Color in a photograph can be very powerful. It can create emotional feelings. What do you feel when you look at a sunset of oranges and reds? What about a deep blue sky with an American flag? It's amazing at conjuring up a lot of different emotions.

Similar to an area painted in a particular hue, a photograph can create an emotion. When you step into a room that is painted deep red, what feeling do you get? Is it a comfortable emotion? When others view photos, they can get the same feelings from the prominent colors.

Another way to think about color would be the absence of it. Black and white photos can evoke just as many emotions as any with color. Similarly, sepia tones may evoke feelings of times gone by.

A similar one of the simple Digital Photography Basics is to use light and shadows. If you want the viewer to "observe" an object or person in the frame, bath the subject in light and have shadows cast down around the rest of the photo.

Or what if you want to "hide" something in the photograph, so that the viewer has to really inspect it to find the object? The object could be hiding within the shadows.

As you can see, Digital Photography Basics can be as simple as careful selective use of light or color. I hope that you incorporate these tips to build amazing photos.
